Mancini's doughy, frosted creation made special for the Strawberry Jell-O Pretzel Salad Standoff April 23 took home first place.

Nick Hartner and Mary Mancini Hartner's iconic McKees Rocks bakery was one of eight contestants vying for a $500 prize for a charity of their choice. The prize was put forth by Robinson plumber Ben Iffy of KB Plumbing and the Mall at Robinson.

While Mancini's charity pick was Focus On Renewal, another local contestant – Michele Turner of Shell's Sweets & Treats in Kennedy – was competing for the Greater McKees Rocks Rotary Club.

The Pittsburgh themed contest was the brainchild of YaJagoff! Media co-owned by McKees Rocks native John Chamberlin and Rachael Rennebeck.
