Sto-Rox Family Center moves to new location

The Allegheny Intermediate Unit’s Sto-Rox Family Center moved to its new location at the former Foster Kindergarten Building on Russellwood Avenue in Stowe Township.


The center will open its doors on Wednesday, May 31 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.


Families and neighbors are encouraged to come out and see the center’s new home on the second floor above Kelly & Nina’s daycare. There will be food and drinks, activities for children, and more.


The family center in McKees Rocks performs home visits and hosts outreach events including meetings for the AIU’s Fatherhood Program.


Additionally, the Fatherhood Collaborative Council of Western Pennsylvania which has a branch based at the new Sto-Rox Family Center will hold its ‘Welcome Back BBQ’ on Saturday, June 3 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the AIU Central Offices in Homestead at 475 E Waterfront Dr.
